The Alchemist’s Touch

A Fabric mod that completely reworks the potion system with new mechanics, recipes, and alchemical tools.
The goal is to make potion brewing more strategic, versatile, and useful both in early and late game.

Features

  • 30+ new potions with unique gameplay effects (from Petrification to Ore Sense and Infinity)
  • Alternative brewing system with early-game ingredients (e.g., Magma Blocks, Golden Apples, Lily Pads…)
  • Alchemist Core: replaces Nether Wart as the base for brewing, but is harder to obtain
  • Stackable potions with built-in cooldowns to avoid spamming
  • Multi-effect potions craftable directly in the Crafting Table
  • Alchemy Stones: special items that apply potion effects directly to terrain and blocks
  • Effect-imbued weapons: weapons can hold potion effects for a limited number of hits
  • Potions in food: consuming food crafted with potions transfers the effect

Early-Game Potions

  • Two new toxic crop drops: Poisonous Carrot and Poisonous Beetroot, rare variants of their edible counterparts.
  • Lava buckets can now fuel brewing stands, but provide only minimal fuel compared to blaze powder.
  • The Alchemist Core, a powerful craftable item, acts as a replacement for Nether Wart in potion brewing — though it’s significantly harder to obtain.

These special items are extracted from custom potions using a crafting recipe. When right-clicked on blocks, terrain-applicable runes trigger powerful localized effects. Alchemical Stones recipe:

🧪 Alchemical Stones of Acid Destroys most blocks upon contact, mimicking acid corrosion (cannot destroy blocks if the hardness is too high).
